One of my favorite type of film are films that deal with interracial
relationships I guess because my ex wife was African American. So
when I new one comes out I can't wait to see it esp. when the female
lead is Kerry Washington who happens to be one of the most beautiful
actress in the world next to Halle Berry of course. And she is not
just a pretty face she can act too which make he a rare find in
Hollywood.
So when I saw the trailer for Lakeview Terrace I was I have to see
this film. The Film centers on
A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved
into their California dream home when they become the target of
their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial
relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD
officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed himself the watchdog of
the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes
bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the
newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives ultimately
turn tragic when the couple decides to fight back.
Well when I was watching this film I was into it I like the idea of
the film and how everyone played their role in it. I thought Kerry
and Patrick was a perfect fit to play the couple and they had great
chemistry in this film. The rest of the cast was very goo in their
roles as well.
Samuel Jackson was the perfect bad guy as he usually does well in
his roles. The problem with the film is not the acting just like
Righteous Kill was it was the screenplay a bad screenplay can ruined
a film. The film was great until the last act and then it went
crashing down.
Once we find out Why he is doing what he is doing it should have
ended there. But they had to do something totally different and
ruined the film I was so mad why can't Hollywood end a film the
right way. This week there is about 4 major film coming out over the
weekend. Lakeview Terrace should have been the better of the movie
but it is not. Ghost Town was the better of the bunch.
This a prime example of how the trailer makes the film look better
then it actually is I am so mad at this film. Overall If you are
looking a film that could have been better check this film out.
