There comes a time when you see a great original
film. In Hollywood that is a very rare thing when a film is new to
the genre Hollywood is going to milk it by making other films like
it. District 9 was one hell of a movie and it was original.
28 ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for
the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither
came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of
their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home
in South Africa's "District 9" as the world's nations argued
over what to do with them.
Now, patience over the alien situation has run out. Control over
the aliens has been contracted out to Multi-National United
(MNU), a private company uninterested in the aliens' welfare –
they will receive tremendous profits if they can make the
aliens' awesome weaponry work. So far, they have failed;
activation of the weaponry requires alien DNA.
This was a great motion picture I love the idea of the film and how
the director filmed it like a documentary but it is not. The film
had some great speical effects and the aliens looks so cool and I
like how the Alien act like Humans and thinks they should be treated
likes humans.
The film is very bloody so if you get sick from blood this film has
a lot but you can over look it with the action of the film. This is
the director first film and he did an outstanding job in it. This
film had a good mixture of Sci-Fi, action and story. You may be
thinking you seen this type of film before with aliens lading on the
planet. Like Independence Day, Aliens and may other but this film
was a total different from other aliens type films.
If you are looking for a great Sci-Fi film than look no further than
District 9 you will get your money worth don't miss it.
