The next one up to bat is
another PG-13 film called Drag Me to Hell" tells the story of Christine
Brown (Alison Lohman), an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a
charming boyfriend, Professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is
good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) enters their
lives…and everything begins to unravel.
When her loan is denied and she loses her house, the shamed Mrs.
Ganush places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine,
transforming her life into a living hell. Christine is tortured and
desperate to have her old life back, so she sets on a quest to
reverse the spell. But as evil forces close in and threaten to drag
her deep into hell, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far
will she go to break free of the curse?
Drag Me To Hell is market as a horror film but to be honest it was very funny it should be label as a comedy horror it gets me very mad when a horror movies gets a pg-13 rating come on Hollywood do make horror films pg-13 make them R. I like the idea of the film it kind of remind me of a film that came out a while back called Thinner which was a much better film and it was rated R. The acting was ok nothing outstanding but you don't expect great acting in horror films. You expect great scenes that will make you jump off you seat and give you chills down you spine. This film had a couple of jump moments but not too much I was hoping this film was going to be scary than it was I was not expecting to laughs as much as I did.
The old lady screen was a little bit far fetch you can believe a little old lady do some of the things she does in this movie. I know you all are saying this is only a movie but god lets not go overboard with it so make look like she is a terminator old lady.
Drag Me to Hell has a great director behind it his name is Sam Raimi who has made some great film like the spider man films, and the funny and scary Evil dead films so I thought with him behind the helm it would be a little bit better on the scary side but hey we all can't get what we want. Overall with all the big blockbusters that are out already and the future one that will be coming out over the next few months here one that will make you laugh and jump a littler if you seen all the big films then don't miss this one.
