A Film Review By Paul Perkins
A Funny Adult Comedy
Imagine if you know you have only year left to live what would you do if you know you time is about to come to a close. What would you do? I know I mostly likely would take a trip across the world , visit family and friends I have not seen in a long time. For George he is a very successful stand up comedian who learns that he has an untreatable blood disorder and is given less than a year to live. Ira is a struggling up-and-coming stand up comedian who works at a deli and has yet to figure out his onstage persona. One night, these two perform at the same club and George takes notice of Ira. George hires Ira to be his semi-personal assistant as well as his friend. Well funny people was very funny but it very vulgar but you expect that from the director and the stars of the film if it was not it wouldn't be a good film to watch. The film stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Jonah Hill so with all the stars power and it directed by Judd Apatow which is his 3 film and is the funniest of all of them. His other film was Knocked Up and The 40 Year old Virgin he also wrote Funny People. The main problem with the film is the length it was a little too long it was almost 2 and half our and to be honest a comedy movie should be under 2 hrs because if it any longer the jokes can get reparative and kind of lame. This film when it hit the 2 hours mark it drag a little and it shows in the film this film could have gotten 4 and half stars if it was not as long as it was. The jokes was very funny and this film is for adults only there is a lot of curse words they drop the f bomb as least over 20 times so get ready to laughs. There is a ton of cameos in the film from the big name comedians. The acting in the film was good by all the main players of the film. and some of they jokes they use was so funny. Overall keeping this review short if you looking for a laughs and don't mind the length of a film then Funny People is for you get ready for some hard core laughs. Check it out today.
