Hellboy 2 A Film Review By Paul Perkins You Will Have One Hell of a Good Time Well the summer is half way done and we are getting another blast of heat in the movie theater. We seen the big green fighting machine last month with The Incredible Hulk which was a outstanding motion picture and made up for the last on in the series. This much we have a big red fighting machine who loves candy and cats. After an ancient truce existing between humankind and the invisible realm of the fantastic is broken, hell on Earth is ready to erupt. A ruthless leader who treads the world above and the one below defies his bloodline and awakens an unstoppable army of creatures. Now, it's up to the planet's toughest, roughest superhero to battle the merciless dictator and his marauders. He may be red. He may be horned. He may be misunderstood. But when you need the job done right, it's time to call in Hellboy (Ron Perlman).
We I heard they was making a sequel to 2003 Hellboy I was kind of ok I hope it will be good and not ruin the first film but then They announce Guillermo Del Toro was going to be the director again . They it chance my whole feeling on the movie and one who have seen Pan's Labyrinth or the first Hellboy know Toro is an outstanding director and visionary.
Well this movie is right up there with some of the best film of the summer it get my highest rating of 5 stars and it up there with Kung Fu Panda, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man for best film of the summer. Do you notice some most of the comic books film that came out this summer has been outstanding this is the year of the comic book.
The story was pretty good and any who who have seen the first Hellboy can still see this one and understand the film because they do tell the back story of how Hellboy became Hellboy. Which was kind of funny how they told the story. The idea of the film was very good and all the sub plot was good as well. But the only flaws of the subplots they left you hanging on some things.
The acting was very good and Ron Perlman did an outstanding job as Hellboy as usually he had some very funny lines in the film and with the fish guy had the best scene in the whole move that will have you laughing until it hurts. The special effects was outstanding one of Guillermo Del Toro best work since Pan Labyrinth he has an outstanding eye for detail that every filmmaker should have. The monster look outstanding esp. the tooth fairies that look so cute but are so deadly. You kids will not put money under there pillow after seeing these cute little monsters.
