The Perfect Way To Start The Summer
Well is May the second and you know what that mean? It the start of the big summer movie season and what a way to start the season with a bang. The bang is called Iron Man and it was one outstanding motion picture and it may be on my top ten at the end of the year. Based on the long-running Marvel comic book series, "Iron Man" tells the story of Tony Stark, the enigmatic heir to the Stark Enterprises fortune.
A driven inventor and executive who seems to have it all, Tony is haunted by his dark side. Though he commands his empire by day, by night he secretly becomes "Iron Man," the living embodiment of decades of defense spending and innovation. Strapping on billions of dollars worth of state-of-the-art armor and weaponry each night to fight crime, terrorism and corporate espionage, Tony begins to crack under the strain of his fractured lifestyle and must ultimately confront the one enemy he can never beat -- himself.
I was never a comic book fan so walking into this film i judge it by the film not comping it to the comic book. This film was outstanding just like the Pirates of the Carribean films. The story was good granted comic books movies usally have the same story but you can over look it because of the acting and everyting else about the film.
The acting was outstanding Robert Downing Jr was the perfect part for Tony Stark i don't think anyone else could play that part any better. He had witt and was very funny he had some of the best lines in the film. Jeff Bridges was the perfect villians he is up there with Jack Nicholson as the joker he had every thing a good villian has and help to make this a great film. Gwyneth Paltrow looks her best in this film she usally looks good but she looks her best in the film. Terrence Howard was good in his small part he did not have a bigger part that i thought he would.
The big fight screen was great it remind me of the fight screen from transformers the cgi looks great. The film did not drag at all and the comedy was the right amout not overdone. The film held my attention from start to finish when i seen this film it was a pack house and everyone in the audience clap and cheer when the film was over. Overalll Iron Man was one hell of a good time at the theaters this is what a summer blockbuster is all about check it out today you don't want to miss it.
