Well lets get our clip boards and go over our check
list before talking about Rambo. Guns check, Bullets check, Bad Guys check,
Blood check, and a lot of body parts flying around check. Well we are all
ready so now on with the review. Twenty years after the last film in
the series, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) has
retreated to northern Thailand, where he's running a
longboat on the Salween River. On the nearby Thai-Burma
(Myanmar) border, the world's longest-running civil war,
the Burmese-Karen conflict, rages into its 60th year.
But Rambo, who lives a solitary, simple life in the
mountains and jungles fishing and catching poisonous
snakes to sell, has long given up fighting, even as
medics, mercenaries, rebels and peace workers pass by on
their way to the war-torn region.
Well walking into Rambo I was saying he is too old to be doing this type of
film, in the latest Rocky film he was good and you can believe him coming
back to the ring like George Foreman did but in this film you cannot believe
him doing everything he does in this film. After watching this movie he
pulls is off some times and some times it looks so fake one of the
scene that is non believable, he is running for a bomb that is blowing up
and you could tell is made by cgi and it looks so bad.
But they pull it off Rambo was a watchable
film don't get me wrong it not a great film but it was better than I though
it would be. The acting was ok nothing great which is no surprise
Sylvester does his usually way of taking you could tell he was trying to be
a little bit different but it still came off as his usually way. The rest of
the actor were ok in their roles but this was mostly a Sylvester film he was
the only main star. The action scenes were intense and very bloody if you
are not into blood scene than this is not the film for you there is a lot of
body part flying around more time then I can count.
Overall I keeping this review short it wasn't a great film but the action
makes up for the flaws of the film, and it was much better than I thought it
would be check it out today.
