Street Kings

A Film Review By Paul Perkins

A Bad Ending Can Ruin A Film

There are good cop and bad cops out there, i always say that cops have one of the hardest jobs in the world because they see all the bad crimes of the world and still have to maintane there cool. I don't know how they do it i know i would not be able to. Some times cop have to get cross the line to get the bad guys and take down some of the world baddest bad people.

Street Kings tells the story of Tom Ludlow, a veteran LAPD Vice Detective. Ludlow sets out on a quest to discover the killers of his former partner, Detective Terrance Washington (Terry Crews). Forest Whitaker plays Captain Wander, Ludlow's supervisor, whose duties include keeping him within the confines of the law and out of the clutches of Internal Affairs Captain Biggs (Hugh Laurie). Ludlow teams up with a young Robbery Homicide Detective (Chris Evans) to track Washington's killers through the diverse communities of Los Angeles.

Steet Kings is the main example of how a bad ending to a film can ruin a whole movie and after you see the ending you say why did they do it that way. Why ruin a perfetly good film to a stupid ending. While i watching this film i was saying to my self i like the idea of the film and how the main charcters tells the story. This film had good acting by everyone in the film which in this type of film is a good thing.

Granted you have seen this type of film many times before but the acting makes up for that. The film did not drag at all and held my attention from start to finish. This would have gotten 4 stars but once the ending starting to roll it became a 3 star film. I hate doing that to a film but some times a critic work is very hard. Overall if you can over look the ending you will have a good story with good acting thats makes up for the crapping ending.
