Swing Vote

A Film Review By Paul Perkins

A Very Funny, Touching And Moving Picture That Every American Should See.

Well during the time of election you see all the commercials telling you that you should vote because it makes us choose who is the best person to run the free world. Image that you go to you local place to cast your vote and when you think you vote is cast. Is is not and you are the final vote needed to decide the new president of United States. How would you react to the news would you be happy or mad.

Kevin Costner stars as Bud Johnson, an apathetic, beer slinging, lovable loser, who is coasting through a life that has passed him by, except for the one bright spot in his mundane existence, his precocious, over achieving twelve-year old daughter, Molly. She takes care of them both, until one mischievous moment on Election Day, when she accidentally sets off a chain of events which culminates in the presidential election coming down to one vote, her dads.

Well I was very surprise by Swing Vote this is one film that every American as well as every father. Should not miss this film this was one very funny and makes a power point of how we the people voice matters the most. I like the story of the film and how the director told the story this film is not just a political film it also a comedy and and a drama with the relationship with Bud and His daughter.

This film should be check out by all the single father of the world and they should takes note of how not to be. One of Bud problems beside not know anything about anything he drinks a lot too much if you ask me. That one of the other main issues of the film beside of the vote. I like the actors of the films they was the perfect choice for the film.

Kevin Costner was very good in his role he had the look of a father who doesn't know how to grown up and take responsibility. Kelsey Grammer was a ok president he could have been a little bit better But I am not complaining. Dennis Hopper and Nathan Lane was also good in their parts. One of the newest face in movie is Paula Patton who is very beautiful and she is right up there on my list with Halle Berry.

Madeline Carroll was very good in her role and she had a hard part for any young kid to play. She had a big scene with Bud about the way he live his life and how it affecting her and she played it outstanding you feel for her. The film was about 2 Hrs and it did not drag at all. The film had a powerful message that should not be miss.

Overall Swing Vote was a very funny film with a good meaning and  a great cast with the summer almost done you don't want to miss this great film.
