Being a film critic is one of the best job in the world to have when there is an outstanding film that you seen. You get to tell the world about it and you hope that every one who you tell you hope they have the same experience as you do in the theater. Well 2008 is the year of the comic book movies and they set the stander really high for all future comic book movie to come out.

With Iron Man, The Hulk behind us and they was outstanding movies as well they got the highest rating here at The King Room. The next one up to bat is the king of the comic book movie which  it has a total of 5 films under his belt. The man is called Batman and the new film is Called The Dark Knight. It the follow up to Batman Begins.

In the new film, Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker. 

Well what can I say about this fine motion picture. It will blow you away it blew me away and I cannot stop talking about it. First thing first Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest director of my time he had made some great film, Memento, Batman Begins The Prestige and Now The Dark Knight Is Right up there as his best film he has made to this date. Hats off to him he has out did himself and I cannot wait until his next film comes out if it anything like this it should be great.

The story was very dark the darkest of all the films in the series which made for a great movie experience this film is coming out in two format the usually theater way and Imax format. I am seeing the Imax format on sat so I know that format going to take it to a different level. What was nice about the story is that you care about each of the characters. The way Gotham City looks was outstanding and how the director had each of the characters interact with each other was great.

The acting was outstanding by everyone Christian Bale played the perfect batman and Bruce Wayne and you could tell he study for the part and took pride in his role. What was nice about this film and the other comic book movies that came out this summer is they made the main character more human beside there superpowers. They feel and acted like a Human Being. The rest of the cast was outstanding god rest his soul Heath Ledger he was the perfect joker not since Jack Nicholas played the joker there was no one else I thought could played the part as good as Jack. Well we have found him Heath Ledger was great.

The action and fight screening was outstanding it will keep you glue to your seat. The film is about 2 1/2 hours but it did not seem that long and keep me glued to my seat from start to finish. This film gotten  high mark from a lot of critics and I think the die hard Batman fans will rejoice once they see this film they will say like I did this is the best Batman since the first Batman.

Overall The Dark Knight was one of the best films of the year as of today it holds the top spot on my list so this is one film you do not want to miss. Check it out today.
